“Where words fail, music speaks…”

A guide to choosing your wedding music

Congratulations on your engagement and thank you for considering me as your wedding singer! This is such an exciting time for you and I’d be delighted to help guide you in the process of choosing your wedding music and structuring the layout of your ceremony.

For ceremonies, whether it’s in a church, or a civil, humanist or spiritual ceremony, and of course the pre-dinner drinks reception, I perform a wide variety of different genres.  Choose from the extensive song lists for ceremony and drinks reception, or let me know if you have something in mind that isn’t on the list and I’d be happy to learn it, given sufficient notice.  I’m generally accompanied by acoustic guitar or piano (with the option of adding more instruments) and work with some of the best and most in demand instrumental players in the business.  We can incorporate multiple styles into your ceremony, including pop and current hits, soul, gospel, classical, religious hymns, jazz and folk/traditional Irish. Pricing for ceremony music starts at €500 for myself and one accompanying musician, but you can get in touch here for quotes, packages and more info on the different musical packages I offer.  I'm happy to help with any questions you might have!

“Natalie, thank you so much for your beautiful singing and for learning our song. I just loved sitting and listening to you, and we had so many of our guests complementing your voice too. And of course for your excellent advice about arranging songs…” - Aisling and Max, Doora, Co.Clare, August 2019

When it comes down the process of actually selecting songs and pieces, I have always loved the idea of filling a ceremony with lots of types of music, from modern pop songs and classical and operatic arias, to classic songs from the movies to old Irish folk tunes – accompanied by your instruments of choice or in harmony with another singer or sung a capella, there is a wealth of music to choose from!
You can have Nella Fantasia as an elegant bridal entrance piece along with gospel spirituals like Amazing Grace, the bluegrass Down in the River to Pray, the vintage jazzy Dream a Little Dream of Me and At Last or a modern hit like Bruno Mars’ Treasure… all in one ceremony! Choosing songs that really mean something to you both as a couple, no matter how left of centre it might be, will ensure you have a ceremony full of special moments and memories to be cherished for years to come.

“It was amazing to have Natalie at our wedding and a lot of our guests commented on how lovely her voice was. We asked her to sing two songs she had not heard of before, which are family favourites, and her versions were perfect!” - Erin and Robert, Monkstown, Dublin, November 2019
